Susino Umbrella Co., Ltd (formerly ‘Jinjiang Hengshun Umbrella Co.’, Ltd) was founded on September 22nd 1995. In December 2005 Jinjiang Hengshun Umbrella Co., Ltd was renamed Susino Umbrella Co., Ltd, as a joint-stock company. Susino produces over 20 million umbrellas annually with a production value of up to $35 million (c. £22.58 million). Susino umbrellas are exported to more than 128 countries and territories including The United States, Italy, Japan, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Lebanon, Germany, Brazil and of course The United Kingdom.

In the picture below you can see one of umbrella show rooms in China, with a complete range of the umbrellas we manufacture and stock around the world.  This shows the extent to which Susino are fast becoming a truly global brand with all the offices and different lines we offer.

 In December 2004, Susino began to co-operate with the Scientific Research Institution of Xiamen Jimei University and founded the ‘Technique Development Center’. In 2005 the Centre was regarded as an umbrella development centre by the Fujian Provincial Government.

In March 2003, Susino obtained the ISO9000 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certificate and further in 2005 Susino obtained the ISO14000 certificate. The companies Quality Test System has obtained certificates from the Fujian Quality Control Bureau

In 2005 new products from Susino such as the auto open and close and the folding auto open and close umbrellas have been recognised as innovative products by the Fujian Science and Technology Office.

In the last decade, Susino has evolved from a small OEM manufacturer in to a leading global manufacturer and exporter of umbrellas. As a life cycle enterprise, Susino specialises in the design, manufacturing and sales of a massive range of umbrellas.

 At Susino are always looking at new and innovative products to expand our ranges across the globe.  Apart from umbrellas, Susino has also manufactured garden and event parasols (see the picture below of Susino parasols at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games), and all sorts of different packaging solutions for the products of other companies.

More recently we have begun to manufacture and sell reusable shopping bags with a plethora of different designs and styles to compete with the increasing needs of consumers, retailers and governments to decrease and eventually stop the use of copious amounts of plastic bags the world over.
